Vulnero

Seamless WordPress and Zend Framework Integration

With the popularity of WordPress for its SEO and ease of publishing, companies often utilize it outside of blogging for their corporate websites. I’m often left filling in the blanks for what WordPress can’t support, building out advanced plugins on its API. I wanted a way to develop in a familiar way, with the power of the Zend Framework libraries at my fingertips. I am writing Vulnero so I can concentrate on the features my client’s want instead of the glue holding my tools together.

Aren't there similar plugins out there?

Most other plugins try to be WordPress rewrites using Zend Framework or just include the libraries. Quite frankly, that’s a lot of work and they often go dormant. WordPress and ZF are alive and well with thriving communities — why try to replicate that? The core of Vulnero is built around keeping WordPress and Zend Framework code bases untouched, and instead focusing on the connection between the two, utilizing Zend Framework components to pry into the WordPress API in a familiar, object-oriented way. I’m not trying to reinvent the CMS or the framework — I just want to build a better glue.
